Engineering depth meets client delivery. A 12-month, on-campus program that turns final-year engineers into AI builders who can work inside a client's business and own the outcome.
A joint industry–academia initiative by Seminarroom and Global Knowledge Technologies (GKT)
A Forward Deployed Engineer embeds directly with a customer to scope, build and deploy production AI systems. Pioneered at Palantir, the role is now hired across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and enterprise software companies as they race to make AI work inside real organisations.
What an FDE does
Runs customer discovery to find the problem that actually matters
Builds production code: data pipelines, integrations, agents and RAG systems
Designs under enterprise constraints: security, compliance and legacy systems
Owns delivery end to end, inside the client's environment, not a backlog
First defined at Palantir; now adopted by 100+ companies as enterprise AI moves from demo to deployment.
AI's fastest-growing job title
Demand for FDEs is rising far faster than the supply of people who can do the job. That gap is the opportunity this program is built for.
Indeed / Financial Times analysis of FDE postings (Jan–Sep 2025); Indeed postings data to April 2026; candidate-pool growth per recruiting-market analyses.
Skills the program builds
The same stack FDE teams use on client sites, plus the communication skills that make the role different from a platform engineering job.

Where the FDE path leads
The program targets the Junior FDE pay band at placement. From there, the role grows into solution architecture and the seats that decide how enterprises adopt AI.
₹12 LPA is the expected package for Junior FDE placements. ₹40–50 LPA is the career progression open to engineers who build strong fundamentals and grow in the role over time.
Opportunities that may open for students
The program's industry network spans Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Wipro and Tech Mahindra, as well as Ford, DXC Technology, IBM, Nityo and Kyndryl, alongside Seminarroom's 250+ corporate partnerships.
